Here’s a bit of fun: a BBC article on the legality of Christ’s trial.

It’s a good try, but considering that the only witnesses we have are the Gospels (the Gnostic Gospels and Josephus notwithstanding), which not only have a collective reason to attack the legality of any trial involving Christ but also don’t agree with each other on basic facts, I wonder if any such reconstruction is valid.

It’s just a thought.
